Anfang der 1990er-Jahre startete Frank Galan seine Karriere als Julio-Iglesias-Imitator. Er studierte Spanisch und Englisch, unterrichtete lange Zeit Spanisch und verbrachte Jahre in Spanien, wo er ein eigenes Reisebüro betrieb.

Die breite Öffentlichkeit lernte diesen „Julio Iglesias“ 1994 bei der Soundmixshow kennen, die er mit großem Erfolg gewann (1. Platz beim Publikumspreis).

Auch 35 Jahre später gilt Frank Galan noch immer als der Einzige, der Julio Iglesias' Lieder so authentisch interpretiert, nicht zuletzt, weil er genau weiß, was er singt und die richtigen Akzente setzen kann.
